Description: Pokemon has taken the video game industry by storm. Its huge fan base says it all. The developers have been so loyal to include captivating features, tough enemies and secrets to be unraveled that keep fans going back. There’s something about the mysteries in games that has led fans to come up with all manner of theories…some which are plane dark. Within this list, we are showing you 5 DARK Theories About Pokemon You MUST Know! Prepared to be shocked? Well, lets begin! 1. Ash’s Coma Theory Who doesn’t love Ash, the never-aging boy playing the leading role in the Pokemon series? Most fans identify with him because he is the first human character. His dream is to become a Pokemon Master. One theory that has spread like wildfire among the Pokemon fan base is that he is in a coma. The theory took shape when Ash was hit by lighting in the first episodes of the series. Though it left a lot of fans worried, Ash’s subconscious mind is fulfilling his dream of becoming a Pokemon master. All will be good if he does not realize he is in coma because then his risk of suffering from brain damage would be too high. So, to be on the safe side, remaining in that state helps him take down all possible mental barriers. 2. Pokémon Can Die Theory This theory may come as a shocker if you belong to the school of thought that Pokemnon cannot die. But how do you explain ghost Pokemon, Cubone’s dead mother, actual deaths of Pokemon and the presence of graves in Lavender Town’s Pokemon Tower? However, for those who believe in Pokemon’s immortality, this may not be proof enough because Ash’s Pokemon never dies. Ash himself cannot die especially since he saw Ho-Oh at the beginning and high chances are that he is in a dream. In the Pokemon world, it is highly unlikely that a dreamer can die in their own dreams. 3. Giovanni Is Not A Bad Guy Giovanni has gone down in the books of many fans as a horrible guy. But for the sake of this theory, let’s place him in the middle…with elements of being bad and having some good in him. As a business person, Giovanni understands the need of profits. So aside from running his casino, he can do anything to ensure that he makes a profit, including engaging in illegal activities. However, Giovanni is not for the theft or murder of Pokemon. He even used his money to further science for profitable gain in the creation of Mewtwo. This did not go as he expected especially because Mewtwo can cause considerable havoc. He’s been trying to correct his mistake ever since. 4. Pokemon Games Begin After A Great War If you are a keen observer of the Pokemon games, you will observe that there hardly any adults, just very young and very old people. This story stems from the lack of adults in Kanto that is a consequence of the war that claimed most of the adult fighters’ lives. One will also notice that there is a lack of infrastructure and communication between regions and players. Originally, Pokemon games were centered around combat and training. Players caught, trained and battled Pokemon against other people. The journey really started after a player received a blue starter Pokemon from Dr.Oak. 5. China’s Nuclear War Made Pokémon Though Japan was the country of Origin of Pokemon, so much of the games point toward China and the Pacific Ocean as locations in the game. The Pokedex itself says that Japan was wiped out leaving a very small region inhabited by people with Tokyo only a small city trying to reclaim its former glory. The nuclear war probably led to the rise of Pokemon in battle since St. Lurge claims of fighting a war where he used Pokemon to kill his enemies. This may or may not explain why Pokemon resembles animals that are mutations resulting from radiations emitted from the war. But that’s just a thing.
