I was playing Pokemon HeartGold one day. It happened when I finally defeated the Pokemon Champion. So, I decided to go get Lugia, since I wanted to have Lugia and Ho-oh with me. I went to go get Lugia and it was in its usual place. I decided to fight it, so the battle began with its regular cry. However, I completely forgot that I had used the Master Ball for Ho-oh, so instead, I decided to use a Quick Ball, knowing that it would never work. But, to my surprise, I actually caught the Lugia with it. I thought that it was probably a glitch or exploit and accepted it.

After I caught Lugia, I used an Escape Rope, due to the fact that I did not have a Pokemon that knew Dig. Straight after I was out, I switched my Thyplosion with Lugia. Looking at Lugia, I noticed it had a heart over its head...

A text box read: "Lugia thanks you for getting them out of hell." I was confused at that, so I proceeded on, having my Fearow use Fly to take me to the Kanto Region, considering the fact that I needed to get through Victory road to get to the Kanto region. I closed my DS and went to go to the washroom. And, I saw an image of Lugia in the mirror which changed to a mutation of a Dark Lugia -- one half of Lugia on one side and Dark Lugia on the other.

But there was something weird about its eyes, they weren't there, it was as if someone or something stabbed Lugia's eyes out. I was both confused and scared. I looked away and then looked back in the mirror... and it was gone...

Then, I decided to play Pokemon Platinum instead, so, I saved the game, turned off my DS and switched Pokemon HeartGold with Pokemon Platinum. I turned on my DS and selected Pokemon Platinum. Then, the title screen for Pokemon Platinum showed, with the Dark Lugia hybrid sprit appearing and a text box below it: "Why did you stop playing with me? I thought that I was your friend." A cold shudder went down my spine.

I quickly restarted my DS, and it happened again, this time the text box read:

"All your Pokemon are dead, next time, it will be you."

I shuddered again and went to go see if its claim was correct, and after seeing the FNT icon in the 'POKEMON' section of the menu, I checked the summary of one of my Pokemon. Then, it happened.

They had the same eyes as the Lugia I saw in the mirror; black, empty... dead. Quickly, I ran to a Pokemon Center closest to me, or in this case, Sunyshore. Talking to the Pokemon Center attendant, I asked her to heal my pokemon, and she said in a text box: "I hate to say it, but I can't help you with your Pokemon."

I turned off my DS with a long sigh. Selecting HeartGold next, I put the cartridge in my DS. It started up the beginning DS screens, but the sound was somehow... distorted and demonic. I thought it was a little bit of a glitch, and it wouldn't happen again. So, I pressed on the touch screen, but instead of the selection screen, I got a white screen, which transitioned to where I last saved. A new text box appeared:

"Welcome back, master. Did you enjoy your game?"

It was Lugia again, with the same sprite I saw in the mirror. I went to turn my DS off but as I tried, another dark voice screeched into the speakers, "Why are you leaving me again? Fine ...time for you to die..."

The screen went dark and I heard a strange, otherworldly version of Lugia's cry and following it, a slashing sound. Lastly, I ended up in Ilex Forest... I hoped it was over. But I was wrong...

The whole forest was set ablaze and every once-living thing on the ground was now beaten, bruised and oozing with blood, including my character who was lying in a pool of blood and guts.

"...I hope you suffer in hell."

The entity shut my DS off itself. I was too terrified to even turn it back on... I threw my DS into a drawer and never touched it again.

Sometime later, I went to go watch some TV, thinking that it would help relieve me from the craziness I saw. I turned on the TV, and the screen was blue. I thought to myself, 'I must have kept the TV on that channel after I finished playing my Xbox.' Proceeding to change the channel of the TV, the screen turned red.

And that shadowy, haunting voice spoke to me one more time:

"You should have played with me more..."
