Heyya! Name's Rosemary but you can call me Rose. I'm uhhh 17 years old. I used to have a big brother when I was a toddler but we got separated, I can't remember much about him. BUT who cares about that, it's been fourteen years already and I'm seventeen. He'd probably forgotten about me.
It was the first week of October. I couldn't afford a DS, so I decided to port a Pokemon game on my own phone. Of course I know it's a bad thing to do! But...I just need to play that game..all my friends own a Nintendo DS. I NEED to play it, Luckily I found a website that can download any game that includes pokemon games of course, it was called V&V game station.
I downloaded the game, however a notification pops up. It says that it contains a virus, I proceed anyway. I mean what could possibly go wrong? I then started playing it. I choose a boy character, I don't know why but the boy character in the selection reminded me of a kid I met years ago (I've always wanted a character named N4SH since it's cool, so I gave the character that name)
I played the game all day long, hours have passed, something has been bugging me. I’m starting to see some stray pixels on my screen and cockroaches crawling across. I was terrified that I almost let go of my phone. I took a peak to check if I was hallucinating or not, and saw that nothing happened.
"I'm so tired.." I said it to myself, and rubbed my eyes. "Look at the time…” I turned off my phone and placed it on my bedside table. I stretched my arms and yawned, deciding that it was probably time for bed since it was already late. I laid down on my on the soft mattress and covered myself with a blanket. My eyes felt droopy and before I knew it I was already asleep.
“Rose! Rose wake up!” I started to hear someone calling my name. It was..unfamiliar… My bed felt like it wasn't my bed anymore.. I then woke up and stood up and I took a look around, I then realized it wasn't my room. "Wait.. where am I?...This isn't my-" The room I was in looked so familiar, like I saw it somewhere.
The door inside the room opened. It was the lady who kept calling my name. "Rose! You're awake!" She walked inside the room with a bright smile on her face, walking up to me as she said, "You better hurry up! Bianca is waiting for you!"
I was hardly confused about what the lady said. After a minute, lots of thoughts ran in my mind. "B-bianca? What are you talking about?? Who are you even—” The lady was furious and quickly interrupted me, "EXCUSE ME? I AM YOUR MOTHER! What are you confused about, this is your home! Aspertia City!"
I froze, stood up from the bed and looked at the nearest mirror. "WHA..WHAT?? THIS ISN'T—" What is happening? I don't look like me.. am I dreaming..? I tried to slap myself and think that I might be dreaming but it didn't work. The lady who claims to be my 'Mom' got worried and came to me. "What is up with you?? Stop hurting yourself!" I’m not supposed to be in this world or wherever I am.. I should probably listen and play along for now so I don't get hurt. “I-It’s nothing Mom..”
"Oh.. it's alright my dear. You don't have to worry about that. How about you go out to find Bianca! Professor Juniper sent her to give your own starter Pokemon, isn't that great? Now go now!" She gave me a smile again but it felt uncomfortable. I then left the room and went outside to take a deep breath, all I remembered was playing Pokemon then fell asleep.. and now I'm here? I don't know what's happiening but— nevermind let's just get this over with.
I made my way to find Bianca just like in the game. I turned around the corner and somehow I noticed that Hugh and her little sister didn't come to greet me as expected. "Something isn't right around here..” I whispered to myself.
The town was a little quieter than usual.. too quiet. "Where is everyone??"
After a few minutes of walking I arrived at the location where I was supposed to meet Bianca. As I approached, There was a heavy feeling in my chest that I'm being watched. I turned around, however there was actually no one there. "Hmm..I thought it was Hugh." I assumed that it was Hugh since usually he follows the player in order to get his pokemon too.
I could see Bianca from afar, she seemed to notice me first then looked at me happily like in the game.
"Veronika! You're back! I'm glad you made it!" I got confused about what she said. I then replied to her "Veronika? Um..I don't think that's my name.." Bianca then looked at me alarmed, she looked at me from top to bottom "You mean.. you're new? And— oh god this is bad! Really bad!" I noticed that Bianca started to fidget her fingers.
It got me alarmed and I quickly asked "What?? What's bad?!" I felt like I was about to panic, but she managed to calm me down with her words. "Let's not get into conclusions here!" She sounded so desperate, I then questioned her "Can you just tell me what's going on!?" Bianca then stared right through me.
"I'm sorry..I cannot. But please take this last pokemon, they might help you along the way. Head straight to Nimbasa city, catch all the Pokemon you need and please be careful! I must advise you, just... Play along and you'll be fine.." She gave me the last pokemon and it was a Snivy. It made me curious that it was the only pokemon left. "Why exactly?...And can you just help me by telling me where's the way out of here? And what's going on?" Bianca then scratched her head, looked left and right and leaned towards my ear and whispered— "I can't say it.. he's always watching..." It made my spine shiver. Who's "he"? And why is he watching..?
"You might meet someone who can help you.." She pulled away with a look of worry and by the look of her eyes she was scared. I then left the area, as I walked I thought about what she said and the person she mentioned. I went to the next City's local pokemart and quickly gathered all the stuff I needed. I just needed to head out to Nimbasa city and it'll be fine— just fine..
I safely reached on Nimbasa city, but the town was a bit different. Maybe..this is what Bianca was talking about? There might be a person who could help me. Everything seemed fine, just like the how I expected it to be.
Instead of battling the subway brothers here I saw Hugh and..N4SH? That feeling had caught me again, that heavyweight in my chest..I can't get out of it..I then noticed that N4SH turned his head and looked at me. His eyes were odd..Instead of his brown eyes his eyes were yellow, and it was glaring right at me… He slowly approached me with a smile on his face. Something about him is making my spine shiver.
"A-are you t-the one who I'm looking for?.." My voice stuttered as I asked. "Oh me? Hmm maybe.. I knew you were looking for me.." He grinned and paused before continuing, “Rose." I took a step back. "H-how did you know my name!?-" He simply chuckled, "It's a secret!"
"N4SH come on!" Hugh yelled from afar. N4SH then gestured to me to follow him, I had a feeling that I'm not supposed to do that.. But I did it anyways.
Hugh looked at me like he was inspecting me. It got me a lil nervous though.
"Is this one of your millions of Rose’s again?" He scoffed. "Oh! She's coming with us!" N4SH happily replied. "Hrm..." He rolled his eyes and walked away from him. I noticed he glared at me before he left. N4SH didn't give a reaction, there's just something about N4SH that I don't trust. I decided to take a step back and leave, but when I turned around he suddenly appeared infront of me.
"How did you-"
"Where are you going Rose? :)"
“I was just—”
He grabbed my shoulder tightly and gave me a grin, then gave me a chuckle.
“It's a little too soon to leave. Say, how about a little game?"
"A game? Why would you play in a time like this?.." I said, my tone a bit shaky as I was intimidated.
"Let's see, I’m a bit bored.. A game of hide and seek wouldn't hurt, right?" He smiled.
Just a game of hide and seek.. but out of all the games he could've picked why that? I crossed my arms and decided to play.
"I-I really don't want to I'm sorry—"
"You won't..?”
That was the moment I felt something pierced in my chest, I looked down and It was a sharp claw coming out of nowhere. “O-OH GOD—”
“Well that's a bummer.. you're a party pooper but I am gonna bring you anyways! Can't let one visitor feel left out, no?” That was the last thing I heard from him before blacking out.

“..Hey!”

“HEY!”
I heard someone call my name and I gasped, my eyes shot open and I quickly looked around. Huffing and panting as I gripped my chest.
"Don't move much will you? God, That bug told me to carry you. You’re heavy ashit." It was Hugh carrying me.
“M-my chest—”
"Can you walk?"
"Y-yes.."
He let go of me gently, guiding me to stand up and I tried to tidied myself.
"Oh! Glad to see you awake! Hm...Hey! How about you two go on ahead?" I gasped, turning my head immediately turned around o see N4SH behind us. He kept smiling and it made me anxious. I can't remember what happened before I passed out, I just remembered something piercing my chest.
"Where are we going exactly.." Hugh asked, N4SH kept smiling and he replied.
"Asking that question again, Hugh?” He tilted his head and gazed right at him. "Right…” Hugh said it with a sarcastic tone, he then placed his hands on his hips then gestured to me to follow him.
The both of us went into the cave, leaving N4SH behind as he went to another way. It seemed we were in Charge stone cave due to the Crystal shining.
"You seem..odd for a trainer" He said while walking. He then stopped and turned around to look at me. “Why did you say that..?”
"You act different, not as you are programmed to act." He continued, crossing his arms, “You’re a real human too, huh?” He then turned his head and looked straight at me
"H-how did you.."
"Listen here! If you think you could get out of this stupid ass game then you're wrong! You had to get past that parasite first." He scoffed and walked closer to stand infront of me.
"It’s better to lose all that hope, cause it's going to be far from close to escape from this hell of a place." He leaned his face close as he said that, his tone sounding like a threatening advice. His words made me stutter even more.
"I-I’m sorry..." I looked away. He sighed and pinched his nose "Ugh… I assume you downloaded the game illegally at some random website—" he continued, "That's the reason you're stuck right?"
I replied “S-stuck..?”
He yelled. "God, you're insufferable.." He lets out a frustrated sigh.
“Listen here, just as I said earlier you're stuck here. In the real world people think you're in a coma, but in reality he stole your soul. And now he's just playing with us.. with you." My heart stopped a beat as I heard him say that.
"Although.." his voice trailed off, "there was this person who almost defeated him, I don't know if she's still alive out there. We both got separated here in this same cave. But who cares? She’s probably dead.”
Something about this situation reminded me of one of those Sonic.exe videos I used to watch. It was kinda funny to think about it. Wait what am I thinking? I better get a grip, this is not the time to joke around.
"Hugh?" I said, wanting to ask a question.
"Don't call me by a character's name. I'm a real person too. Tch. Call me Jaime.." He scoffed, backing away from me and continued to walk further in the cave. I hurriedly followed.
"So… Jamie.. how long have you been stuck here?" I tilted my head to the side and my eyes stared at him. "Hm..I don't know I stopped counting. Probably four months or something," Four months..I wonder if time works different here. "You're quite a chatty person y’know." He continued to walk straight ahead.
"Where are we going exactly?" I asked Jaime. "Getting away from this place. That parasite blocked the entrance with boulders, there's probably another exit." He kept walking straight ahead. I stopped and noticed an empty tunnel on the side of the cave. I squinted my eyes feeling like there's something inside.
"Rosa?" He stopped walking and gave me a glare with his red eyes. "Hey are you even listening to me? What's taking you so long?" I heard him walk towards me and placed his hand on my shoulder, forcing and urging me to start walking, but I didn't budge. I can't stop looking at the guts and blood being spilled and scattered everywhere in that tunnel. Did N4SH did this..?
"D-did..h..he..do..all..that?.." I stuttered as my legs started to shake. He rubbed his head and replied "This is one of the reasons why I don't cross the line with him, It's better to play along rather to end up like.." he pointed at the tunnel of guts and blood, “that.”
While he said those words I started to hyperventilate...I can't..I don't wanna..I don't wanna die!...I don't want to play with his games! I quickly respond without a thought in mind.
"No! No! No! You're joking right?! This has to be! I can't be in here long ENOUGH! I DON'T WANNA DIE—" I screamed, my voice echoing through the cave, the rocks slightly shook at the vibrations of my voice. He grabbed my shoulders and yelled.
"CALM DOWN WOULD YOU?!" He tightly grips onto my shoulders. "Listen to me, if we want to get out of this stupid hellhole you better start to calm down! You hear me?! CRYING WON'T HELP YOU GET OUT OF HERE."
His words scared me, but he's right. I should better stop calming down and think rationally if I want to get out. Jaime sighed, “I used to have a sister like you, such a scaredy cat.” Suddenly, We both heard a sudden cry of a Pokemon from afar. I felt my heart spike as I was afraid to turn around, Jaime seemed to agree as he froze from hearing that cry.
"Shit!" The Pokemon appeared from the shadows infront of us. “Oshawott..?” He was only left with his head, guts hung out from it's ripped off neck and spider arms poked out of his head. "Great, one of his so-called pokemons got out." He grabbed something in his pocket and threw out his PokeBall. "Run."
"W-what?..."
"I SAID RUN!" Jaime shouted. I hesitated for a bit and ran as quickly as I could, not knowing where I'm going.
"Pignite let's go!" I heard him calling out of his pokemon. My adrenaline pumped through my blood, I ran and ran until I tripped over something and fell off the edge of the cave— “AH!” Good thing the edge was a meter short and I tumbled down, my leg hurts from the fall. I rubbed my head and stood up my legs shaking slightly.
I continued walking, staring up to the path ahead, still not knowing where I'm going.. then I heard someone crying.
I followed where the source of the sound was coming from. It got me anxious for a minute, the sound of someone crying got louder. Then I saw a boy, his brown eyes were filled with tears and he was curled up into a ball on the cold rocky ground. He noticed me and looked up at me, his long messy brown hair slightly covered his face “W-who are you?"
“That's not important right now— what are you doing here? This place is dangerous!" I came closer to him and placed my hand in his shoulder.
"Are you alone?" His eyes were puffy and red. He then mumbled. "I've hurt them...I didn't mean it like that...I..I.." His tears kept falling.
"H-hey!.." I'm not really good at comforting someone who cries but at least I'm doing something rather than nothing.
"I don't even know what happened to you but if you didn't mean to hurt someone then it's okay! Just say sorry to them.." The boy looked at me with his brown eyes.
"Do you think they'll forgive me?.." I then replied to him, "Of course they will! Even if they don't, it's still alright. At least you've done your part to say sorry that's all." The boy chuckled and smiled.
"You reminded me of my sister.." the boy paused and continued to speak. "She was so brave like you.." I'm not that brave. Am I? A loud scream ringed in my ears. I couldn't bear the screams so I shut my eyes and placed my hands to my ears- it only took a minute to stop.
"Gah! What was that??..Huh? Where is he???" I groaned and look around but the boy isn't there anymore. I look at the ground and I realized that I stepped on something, it was a book. Decided to take it though. I then walked and heard loud footsteps, until we bumped into each other
"Hey! Watch where you're- Great Another one of those people.." It was another Rosa! Or at least I think she is. She looked at me with her frustrated and tired face. She seemed like she was running from someone a while ago..Her hair seems different to the classic one, she had navy blue eyes and freckles. She had a cut on her nose and cheek, I looked down and realized she lost half of her left arm. I quickly backed away and stared with horror. “OH GOD— Your arm!”
“What about it? Don't just stare at it—”
"A-are you okay?" I went closer to her then she pushed me away. "DON'T. Its still bleeding .." She kept holding her left arm
"Are there any more people trapped in this game??..." I asked, she then looked at me and replied,
"Do I look like I'm some kind of expert? Of course I don't know..” She took a glance right at me. It was uncomfortable. “Hmm..”
"You're like him.. come on, you're coming with me." She grabbed my hand and we walked somewhere deeper through the cave. It was awkward so I spoke at her.
"What's your name?..." I asked, She didn't turn around and kept walking, she then replied. "Veronika, you?"
"Rosemary, but you can call me..Rose. I wonder where that boy ran off?" Veronika looked at me and questioned. "What boy?! Jaime?!" She sounded desperate.
"You know him?" We kept walking until we saw Bianca up ahead. “Rose there you are!” She shouted and was happy to see me. Veronika then stopped and turned at me.
"Get behind me" Veronika said, her hand was shaking. I looked at Bianca and she seemed different unlike the last time.
"You made it this far...Rose." Bianca's tone change and she gave off a creepy smile and chuckled. "As expected..You really did well! Hm. I could've sworn I pierced you twice, Veron.." I can see that Veronika was just standing there..afraid.
"Leave the kid alone! Vivian!" Bianca then laughed. "Haha..Vivian? I'M NO LONGER THAT WEAK BROTHER OF YOURS" I just stood behind Veronika and watched both of them argue.
Veronika then replied in an angered tone. "You’ve already trapped me and Jaime in this stupid game of yours! What is it you want from this girl?!" Bianca then looked at her with her yellow eyes.
"Oh! Glad you asked!" She then giggled. "You see I found Jaime's lil sister! Ahaha..I didn't know she could be this naive to fall at every word that I said!" It made me dumbfounded, My brother?
"Bianca?..W-what's the meaning of this?" I desperately questioned.
"Bianca, Bianca, Bianca.. It's obviously me using her body. So stupid, so pathetic..Of course. You're still a dumb child. Hmm.. maybe using you won't be a bad idea" I then felt my head aching, it hurts..I fell on my knees and held my head right. The noise grew louder and sounded like a boy screaming.
"Shit! W-what's wrong??" Veronika checked on me then turned her attention to Bianca. "What did you do?!"
"What I had to do." Bianca smiled at Veronika and then..it all went black.. I'm not sure if I collapsed or just the crystals around us faded out of my sight. From what felt like hours I could slowly see the crystal's in the room fade back. I could see N4SH sitting beside me.
"Looks like I won!" N4SH giggled. I can't move my own body, I tried to move but I just can't..
"I'm sure you remembered that game we had earlier. Hide and seek.. unfortunately it had to end shortly." he stood up and looked down at me.
"Oh. By the way..how about I leave you with this friend of mine!" He sent out his pokemon, the one who was lurking in the caves earlier.
"Have fun you two!" He chuckled then walked out.
I struggled to move. "W-why can't I move?!" I then screamed for help, N4SH’s pokemon went closer and was about to have a pierced chest. Luckily out of nowhere Jaime jumped out and sent out his pokemon.
He shouted, "PIGNITE USE FLAMING WHEEL!" His pokemon sent N4SH'S pokemon flying. It went out a loud cry and quickly fought back.
I can finally move myself. "Are you alright?" Jaime questioned,
"Yeah.." I place my hand on my head. The Pokemon attacked Jaime's Pignite, luckily Pignite countered it. Jaime looked at me fiercely "You don't look so good at all."
"Hey are you even listening?" He flicked my head. "Ow! Watch it!" I gently rubbed it and replied, "Y-yeah." The Pokemon kept attacking Pignite until it used one of its claws directly at Jaime. “URK!” Jaime gets pinned at the wall and groans. “PIGNITE! USE FLAMING WHEEL” Pignite uses its move again towards N4SH'S pokemon after it starts to flee. I got worried so I rushed to Jaime, “JAIME!” I took a closer look. “You're wounded..” Both of us heard a chuckle coming closer. It was other than his laugh, N4SH..
“Aw.. how sweet of you two.” His usual smile turned into a frown. “But I didn't asked for a sibling reunion, did I?” He looked more serious, as if he didn't liked that I checked on Jaime if he was okay. Before I knew it one of his claws from his back pulled me over to fight again. “The fight isn't don—” “What?” Jaime interrupted him. Sibling reunion..? What does he mean by that. N4SH simply laughed maniacally, his demeanor suddenly changed and his mouth curved back up into a smile.
“Isn't it obvious?” He said with a mocking tone. “Jaime and Rosemary, a sweet family reunion! Look at your faces— and oh! Don't thank me.”
Is he lying..? Is it one of his tricks again? Jaime— “Urk!” He suddenly ran up to gave me a hug, causing me to almost stumble back. “It's you! It's really you! Isn't it? I—” Jaime could barely breathe. Tears trickled down his cheeks, is it from happiness? Relief? I couldn't believe it. Is it really brother? But that moment didn't last long as N4SH, with his claws, stretched out and pushed Jaime back. He didn't look really happy. “I'm getting impatient, let's continue where we left off.” His tone sounded serious.
“I want to help!” I said to Jaime. “No, just stay out! I don't wanna lose you again!” His eyes were locked to N4SH, my vision was starting to get blurry for no reason.. I groaned and held my head.
“Heh. It seems like it is starting to take effect..” N4SH said. “Rose! What the hell did you do to her?!” Jaime shouted to N4SH.
“How about we finish this silly game of ours?” N4SH smiled. Everything in the place felt heavy, I stood up to the side and watched the two battle.
N4SH made his first move, “Oshawott used Brine!” Jaime quickly countered N4SH'S attack. He kept holding his wounded shoulder, I just watched them fight from the side. “What did you do to her!” Jaime shout, N4SH just gave him a chuckled. “Very simple my dear friend! I controlled her! She's a strong one! Unlike Bianca. Who's very weak— ehh It's probably because she's just a coded character.” They continued in their pokemon battle, a bit unfair that ‘Oshawott’ is being dissect and turned into that.
Veronika on the other hand, “There you are! Got me a little worried kid.” She turned her attention to N4SH and Jaime.
“Dammit! What is he thinking! Does he know that he'll lose?!” She ranted. N4SH continued to order his pokemon to attack at Jaime's Pignite, eventually ending up failing to do so.
“Haha, could you just stay still?!” N4SH seemed to start losing his temper at Jaime. My mind starts to get controlled by him, All I can hear is those inaudible screeching. Make it stop..Make it stop! I couldn't bear it any longer..
“He got you good huh?” It was the boy again, he stood up next to me, and everything felt calm. It feels like I'm inside my head. “Where's Jaime? Where's—” The boy then interrupted me while wondering. “I'm sorry..” He whimpered, “I’ve hurted you too..” he then started crying, “Please..help me, Rose..” I then heard those loud screeches again. I woke up and noticed Veronika trying to wake me up.
“Hey! Don't pass out randomly!” She was highly worried. I looked at Jaime battling N4SH, it was still not over.
“Enough of these games..” N4SH turned his frown to a sinister smile, he swung his claw at Jaime in the stomach. “If I can't win in a Pokemon battle, I'll just kill you with this!” Jaime groaned and rolled to the corner at the cave.
“JAIME!” I wanted to help but Veronika grabbed my hand, “Don't! You'll end up getting hurt!”
I didn't listen and let go of her hand. N4SH giggled and said to me, “Ah, it feels good to ruin a reunion.” He was dumbfounded and took a step forward, “How come you're still yourself?! You're just persistent, are you!? You know, we used to be best buddies, but after he BETRAYED ME.—”
he pointed his claw near my head. “Fear, starts with here..” he pointed at his head, “You're afraid are you? I could finish it by making it disappear if you let me take control of you..” Veronika stood up and yelled, “STOP IT VIVIAN!”
“Sorry if I wasn't there when you needed me the most! I'm sorry if I didn't come with you that day! Just, let the girl go..” Veronika begged, N4SH clenched his fist and replied. “You don't know how long I've been in pain..FOUR YEARS, ALL THOSE COCKROACHES INFESTED MY BODY. I EVEN EAT THEM JUST TO SURVIVE.” He stabbed Veronika’s stomach with his claw.
“VERONIKA!” I shouted, N4SH stared at me and turned his frown into tears..
“I never wanted to hurt everyone..they all left me to die way back..” He then wiped his tears and started laughing.
“But you know what?! It feels good to hurt someone back!!” He was practically insane. He then smiled again.
“You have a Pokemon right? How about a battle? Jaime and Veron here aren't in their best shape right now!” He grabbed his yellow pokeball. “I'll make sure to end this as fast as I can..” N4SH mumbled to himself, He then let out his pokemon. I then let out my Snivy, “I won't run..” I prepared my stance, “I know you won't..” N4SH replied.
I ordered Snivy to use Vine whip on N4SH'S pokemon, however it managed to dodge and attacked Snivy from behind. I shouldn't give up. Snivy only knows four moves but I have to make it count. I then ordered Snivy back, “Snivy use Leaf blade!!” It managed to hit N4SH's pokemon. It groaned, but it kept attacking. Its claws kept swiping at Snivy’s, that's when I commanded it to slam his pokemon.
“Y-you!” N4SH started to snap, “You useless pokemon! After all of that!” He gritted his teeth and clenched his fist. Afterwards, his pokemon then fainted due to exhaustion. I did it! I finally beat him!
The cave went silent after my victory. N4SHs’ face was less than pleased, he walked towards his pokemon and stood beside it. Not a word got out of his mouth, not even a silent breath.
“It's not fair…” He complained. “After all that. I'm still weak..weak..just weak..” I feel bad all the sudden, I mean he tried to kill me, Jaime and her own sister.
“N4SH” he's expression was empty until— “GRK!” he suddenly strangled me with his claws, I let my guard down dammit!
“I'm so sick of being weak and afraid..you know that?...” He tightened his grip, then smiled. “Oh Rose..Is that all? Thought you were stronger than that..” I'm starting to feel light headed, his grip was still tight unto my neck.
“Vivian! S-stop it!..” Veronika crawled to N4SH and begged. “Please Vivian.. it's not worth it..” N4SH scoffed and kicked Veronika away, “I TOLD YOU NOT TO CALL ME BY THAT NAME! I'VE FORGOTTEN THAT PIECE OF CRAP YEARS AGO!!” He huffed and puffed like an angry child. His grip was still tight. I can still barely breathe, I heard Veronika whimpering. I tried to move my body but I'm starting to get weak..
“Look! Look at me! Here I am! Stronger than you!” He chuckled, Everytime he spoke his grip got tighter. “Any last words before I snap you like a twig?” He started to glitch as he chuckled.
Surprisingly Jaime tackled N4SH, “That's for hurting my sister!” N4SH stood up dumbfounded. “H-HOW? How are you still alive!?” He gritted his teeth. I quickly caught my breath and held my neck, breathing in and out.
Jaime took his pokeball, “shut up and fight.” N4SH stood silently, he started to glitch. “I'm sick of playing .” He said with a tone that expressed his discontent. Something was happening to him. Something.. something bad..
“You've pushed me into my limits Jaime.…” He spoke. “You didn't even know what I've been through..” The corner of his lips curved up into a small sinister smile. It didn’t seem like he was happy yet he looks like he's holding in a laughter, one filled with sorrow.
You're crazy!” Jaime yelled at him. “Crazy..?” N4SH started to chuckle again and glared at Jaime. “I'm getting tired..” As he kept on glitching his claws started to appear from his back. Though, it looked different, vastly different. It looked realistic but not like what you'd expect. “Wh..” My heart started to race. It looked like a child cutting up a picture of a cockroach's leg and stapling it on his back and yet the way it moved was realistic, like an actual bug.
“What the..” I said with concern. “You're acting like a bully..” He frowned. “A big bad bully..” he held his face, and kept glitching out. He kept laughing and laughing, like a maniac. He didn't look happy yet he kept laughing. “Jaime, get out of there!!” I looked back and instantly warned my brother. I had a feeling that something bad is going to happen If he's close to N4SH.
I noticed that his hair is slowly growing, with that his face glitched more, now a hole formed on his mouth replaced with a part of a cockroaches mouth. He then slammed Jaime to the ground leaving him unconscious. “JAIME!!!” I heard Veronika whimpering in pain, she then looked at me.
“This keeps getting worse..” Veronika grunted as she spoke, she tried to stand however it looked like the pain was just unbearable. Suddenly I was tackled by N4SH, he kept giggling and smiling.
“Do you wanna know a fun fact about roaches??” He whispered to my ear “They BITE..” I struggled to move, I clearly saw his claws pointed at me. Is this really the end of me?! Jaime is blacked out and Veronika is still unable to do anything!
I closed my eyes as he was about to bite my head off, but I opened my eyes and looked at N4SH, he seemed to “S-stop it…stop it!” He mumbles to himself, “stop it!..STOP IT!!” He started hitting his head and whimpering. “SHUT UP! SHUT UP!!” He bawled and started to hit his head.
“N4SH..” It's probably one of his tricks again, this time I won't make the same mistake getting close to him. I quickly rushed to Jaime.
“Jaime! Jaime!” His breathing was weak, I shook him up. He started to wake up eventually, I sighed in relief. I looked back at N4SH and he was still bawling himself.
“W-what is he doing?..” Jaime questioned me, I shrugged and turned my attention back to my brother. “Let's just get out of here..” Jaime nodded and stood up. I looked at N4SH and he was still sobbing like a child crying. He then burst off his tears and screamed loudly as his voice filled the room.
N4SH continued hitting his head again and again, I saw Veronika coming close to him.
“Veronika! What the hell are you doing?!” Jaime yelled, Veronika didn't listen to him and kept walking to his fragile brother.
N4SH started to hyperventilate and kept hitting his head. “Get out of my head! GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!” He mumbles to himself. Veronika continues to approach him.
“No! Stay away!!” He pierced Veronika with one of his claws, Veronika flinched and kept approaching. “NO! GET AWAY!!” He continued to attack with his claws and wounds were applied to Veronika.
“Veronika! Get the hell out of there! C’mon we gotta do something!” Jaime yelled and about to catch up on Veronika, “Wait..” I held his hand. He turned around and asked, “What are you doing?! She's gonna die if we don't do something!”
“Vivian..” Jaime was stunned by hearing Veronika calling out her brother, “Vivian? Wait…all this time.” I nodded at him, “I didn't even realize it.”
Veronika came closer to her brother and she gave him a tight hug, despite losing her left arm. N4SH was shocked about what's happening, he was calmed and was unlike the person he was a while ago.
He then began to burst his tears at his sister, “There, There..” Veronika started reassuring her brother, N4SH then mumbled. “I'm a monster…I hurted you so badly.” He kept crying and said, “Not just you, Rose and..and..Jaime too..” He covered his face. “I'm a freak..Why would you still care about a roach?” Veronika looked at N4SH, She held her brother's hand and replied. “No matter what you are, you're still my brother, despite the things you've done..” N4SH then continued to cry in front of her sister like a child.
Jaime glanced at me, “I still can't believe he'd known..” I turned around and asked, “Know what?” Jaime replied “He knows that you're my sister” We both went silent until the cave started to rumble.
“Shit! What's happening!” Jaime shouted, ”The cave is about to collapse!” Veronika answered. N4SH then let go of Veronika's hug and stood up, “You all should leave..”
“W-what?..” I stammer. “Vivian! I'm not leaving you again!” Veronika held his brother's cheeks and hysterically cried. N4SH looks at her with his dead eyes, The cave then collapsed.
“Hrk! Jaime!” I quickly got up and looked around, I'm back..back in my room, I felt my phone vibrating minutes later . “Huh?” I held my phone and was dumbfounded by what I saw in it. It was a message from N4SH.
“help me search for something”
He sent an address to where. I quickly gazed at my phone. After everything, I then took my phone and was about to decline, however N4SH sent another message to me.
“Look, I'm sorry for all that “Shenanigans” we just had. I know you won't forgive me, but..I'm tired.. Tired of playing..I just wanna rest but my mind feels restless, Not sure how that works. I'm begging you Rose”
I looked down and replied, “Why should I?” It took a minute for N4SH to answer. “I've done you a favor, didn't I? I helped you reunite with your long lost brother and letting you all go in my world”
He does make a point, I still don't trust him after all he has done to me. I then typed back, “How do I know if this isn't one of those tricks of yours?”
He replied, “There's no way for me to do that.. besides, I just wanna go home..”
My phone suddenly shutted down before I could reply, “O-oh C’mon!”
I've decided, I'm going there whether this is a trick or not, I then went outside and took the bus. The time I reached to the address N4SH gave, It made me froze to see that the cave entrance looked exactly from the game I was trapped in. I shook the feeling off and went inside. My phone is still down, Luckily I bought a flashlight.
The cave was actually pitch black dark, that you might have bumped or fall if you don't carry any flashlights. I saw a few people around here, but I decided to go deeper. I continued walking until there were bugs biting me, “Ouch!” I slapped my neck and the bugs were.. Cockroaches..I beamed the flashlight on the ground and there were lots of cockroaches crawling. I then heard my phone and was surprised that N4SH messaged me again. Did he do that on purpose?
“Not too far now. ” N4SH messaged.
“How long is this going to take?” I asked, He never answered my question. I kept walking until I smelled something unpleasant..
“Urk what is this smell?...” I quickly pinched my nose and felt like I was about to vomit. With every step I take, the scent keeps getting worse.
I continued going further until I flinched as I felt something beside my foot, I quickly took a step back and beamed my flashlight on it.
I froze in horror as I saw a dead body infested with Cockroaches and maggots squirming in. The scent was so strong that I puked, I quickly texted N4SH.
“YOU DIDN'T TELL ME IT'S A DEAD BODY!!”
N4SH gave a chuckle in his message, “If I did, you wouldn't help anyways.” Touché.
I looked back at the dead body and looked back at the phone on my hand, “Who’s dead body is this anyway?” I couldn't get out of my head that the body laid before my eyes seemed like the boy I found in the cave on the game I was stuck at.
“N4SH? Are you still there?..” He didn't reply, the last text he sent was 2 contact numbers. The first one was 911, and Veronika.
“Do what you gotta do..”
It's like he's letting me decide if I should leave this body or call someone. I obviously called 911, followed by Veronika.
“Hello? Ugh. Who's this? Look if you're asking for me to pay the bills, I'm still in the hospital okay?!” Her tone was angry. I stuttered and asked.
“H-hey…I'm not sure if you remembered me.. but—” She then interrupted me.
“That voice..Rose!?” I'm surprised that she recognized my voice immediately. I then replied, “Yes it's me..um..Sorry for interrupting you but, he gave me your number and well I think you might wanna see this.” Veronika was quiet for a minute then asked about where I'm at, “Send me your location I'm going..” She then hung up.
Hours later I waited at the entrance for Veronika, She was with someone.. could that possibly be?.
I then turned around and saw the people I called earlier transporting the corpse to the ambulance. N4SH still didn't message me until I saw Veronika coming close to the body and immediately recognized its attire.
The boy she was with then looked at me,
“Rose..” He then came closer and hugged me, I was surprised and pushed him away.
He then gave an awkward chuckle and explained himself. It was..Jaime after all.
He then explained that the body I found was no other than Vivian..also known as N4SH…..I was stunned about what Jaime said, but I'm glad he could rest..
2 weeks later, after the incident. The three of us decided to keep it a secret, because no one would believe us if we didn't. I was about to rest but my phone vibrated and when I looked at it, I froze in fear due to the fact it was coming from N4SH'S,
